This article provides documentation concerning the Datto Networking AP62 access point's adherence to all applicable regulations for international operation.

Professional Installation Warning

WARNING: Changes or modifications to this equipment not expressly approved by the part responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

End users should not attempt to install or reconfigure the access point. Only instruct qualified personal who have RF exposure and related rule knowledge or technology to perform its installation.

The device must operate in the 5150–5250 MHz band during indoor use to reduce potential harmful interference to co-channel mobile satellite systems; operation in the 5725-5850 MHz band is reserved for both outdoor & indoor use.

The installation, position, and output power does not exceed the limit set forth in US Rule CFR 47 15.247 & 15.407. Violation of this rule can lead to serious federal penalties.

The maximum EIRP at any elevation angle above 30 degrees, as measured from the horizon, must not exceed 125 mW (21 dBm) as stated in US Rule CFR 15.407.

CAUTION: Install and operate the access point at least 20cm away from a TDWR radiator.

Only use manufacturer approved antenna types that meet PIFA specifications if replacement is warranted.

Interference Statement

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation

This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.

If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

The ETSI version of this device is intended for home and office operating under the 5150-5350 MHz band use in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Canadian Compliance Statement

This product meets the applicable Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada technical specifications.

This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSSs. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  • This device may not cause interference.
  • This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.
