Description

The Datto Networking dual band patch antenna and mounting kit accessory enables increased directional range and deployment flexibility for the AP840E outdoor WiFi-6 Access Point.

The patch antenna is only compatible with the AP840E Access Point. It will not work with the AP840 Access Point.

What's in the box?

  • 1 dual band 6 dBi quad patch MIMO antenna, with 36" cables

  • 1 articulating mount

  • 2 U-bolts

  • 4 wall anchors

  • 4 drywall screws

  • 2 variable-pole mount plates

Installation

Physical articulating installation

1. Securely fasten one end of the articulating mount to the surface (wall or pole).

2. Fully loosen both of the articulating mount arms. There should be no binding or resistance to the arms' movement.

3. Postion the arms as desired.

4. Tighten the arms in sequence, starting with the arm closer to the mount surface.

5. Secure the antenna to the articulating mount.

Phyiscal non-articulating installation

1. Securely fasten the stationary wall mount to the mounting surface.

2. Attach the back of the antenna to the stationary hook mount.

3. Slide the stationary hook mount into the stationary wall mount.

Configuring the patch antenna in Datto Network Manager

1. In Network Manager, click Access Points in the Navigation menu.

2. Select the name of the access point from the list.

3. Under the Radio selection heading, select Patch from the Antenna Type drop-down menu.
