Setting up the Datto Networking IT Glue integration

The IT Glue integration enables you to synchronize and quickly view IT Glue configuration items when managing wired or wireless endpoints on the Clients page of Datto Network Manager.

To activate the integration between Datto Networking and IT Glue, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Partner Portal > Networking Status > Network Manager > Configure > IT Glue.

  2. Paste your IT Glue API key in the corresponding field.

    NOTE  If you don't have an IT Glue API key, you can generate one by following the steps described in this knowledge base article. If you do not have an Enterprise-tier subscription to IT Glue, doing so will consume one integration license.

  3. Select the region in which your IT Glue account is provisioned. If you’re unsure, you can log in to IT Glue and inspect the subdomain for the value "EU" or "US."

  4. Click Save.

To verify that the integration is successfully communicating with Datto Network Manager:

  1. Within Datto Network Manager, switch to a network of interest.

  2. Navigate to Partner Portal > Networking Status > Network Manager > Clients.

  3. Select a client that you know exists in IT Glue (not a guest or BYOD endpoint).

  4. Click the IT Glue button to view the client's synchronized configuration entry.
