DMZ Host
Topic
This article describes the DMZ Host feature for the Datto Networking Appliance (DNA).
Environment
- Datto Networking Appliance (DNA)
Description
In networking, a demilitarized zone or perimeter network (often referred to as a DMZ) functions as a container subnetwork to selectively expose a network's external-facing services to the Internet, while keeping the remainder of the network firewalled, adding a layer of protecting to a LAN. For more information about DMZ technology, see DMZ (external link).
Overview
To access the DMZ Host card, log into the DNA web interface, and click Firewall, as shown in Figure 1.
Once on the Firewall page, click the DMZ Host link. You will see the DMZ Host management card shown in Figure 2.
To enable a DMZ host:
1. Underneath the Enable DMZ Host option, click the Yes radio button.
2. Optionally, specify the source IP or network object that will redirect into the DMZ.
3. In the IP Address field, enter the address of the host that you would like to have on the DMZ.
4. Click Save Changes.
