Inter-Network Accessibility

Topic

This article describes the Inter-Network Accessibility feature of the Datto Networking Appliance (DNA).

Environment

  • Datto Networking Appliance (DNA)

Description

The Inter-Network Accessibility feature allows an operator to specify firewall rules between VLANs configured on the DNA, providing greater control over which VLANs can communicate with other VLANs.

To configure the accessibility rules, select one of the options presented.
  • From all LANs to the Internet only: This option will prevent the device's VLANs from communicating with each other, but it will enable access from each VLAN to the Internet.
  • From all LANs to all other LANs and the Internet: This option allows all configured VLANs to communicate with each other and the Internet.
  • Using custom rules below: This option allows you to granularly specify which LANs may communicate with each other and the Internet. Selecting this option will populate the input box shown in Figure 3. Click the box to select and add available LANs to the rule. The LANs you add will be able to communicate with each other, and optionally, the Internet.
