Legacy Open Mesh: How Do I Implement LLDP On My Switch?

Answer

The Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) is a Layer 2, vendor-neutral protocol that allows network devices to advertise capabilities, identity, and other information. This data can potentially be queried by SNMP.

Procedure

1. Navigate to Manage -> Switches, and select a switch.

2. Click on Switch Settings, as seen in Figure 1.

3. Click the Enable checkbox in the LLDP row, as seen in Figure 2.

4. Click Save Switch Settings.
