Description

Datto Network Manager is the networking industry's first cloud management user interface designed to serve the needs of MSPs. Periodically, Datto may release updates to Network Manager that affect the functionality of or impact certain devices.

Release September 24, 2025

New Features

  • Secure Edge firewall rules: Setup port and protocol firewall rules and assign them to a security policy. These rulesets allow for tighter control of users and their devices to ring-fence access to corporate LAN resources. Datto Secure Edge Firewall Rules

Bug Fixes

  • Removed the cap of 4,096 networks that can be created within Network Manager.
  • Fixed an issue where devices added or removed from a network do not successful undergo the pairing process, requiring intervention from Support
  • Fixed an issue where in certain circumstances where an AP checks in from a public IP known to be allocated to a VPN service, inaccurate banner messaging was shown within Network Manager.
  • Addressed an issue that prevented Secure Edge users from clearing pending soft-client entries. Soft-client Pending entries now show subscriber email addresses for easier reference.
  • Fixed an issue where DSE DNS search domain does not append domain to hostname only DNS queries.
  • Addressed an issue where, lower screen resolutions, the 'Assign Subscribers' button from dropdown is hidden by the footer in Security Policies.

Improvement

  • When configuring split tunneling with SecureEdge, you can now use an asterisk (*) character as a wildcard designator for use within domains that should be excluded from the SecureEdge tunnel.

Bug Fix

  • Fixed an issue where Datto SecureEdge clients that failed a SafeCheck sometimes did not have the Allow Temporary Access option.
  • Fixed an issue where newly added Datto Managed Power PDUs don't show pairing banner after pairing window expires, causing device not to check-in for first time.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the yellow upgrade banner from appearing within Network Manager for AP version 7.1.0.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that can occur when a network has Auto Channel enabled and a user attempts to turn off DFS channels. Now, when Auto Channel is set to “Auto”, the DFS toggle will be greyed out.
